Picnik: A Paleo & Gluten-Free Restaurant
A new restaurant opened in Austin this week – Picnik. It’s a little further from The Fairview than many of the places we recommend but it’s worth it, especially for our paleo and gluten-free eating guests. Picnik on Burnet is an offshoot of the trailer they have operated out of on South Lamar for several years. Both locations are open for breakfast & lunch, while the new restaurant is also open for dinner.
Fonda San Miguel: One of our Favorite Restaurants
Austin is full of wonderful eating opportunities. There are so many new places to try and sometimes the focus on the new leads me to overlook an old favorite restaurant. Vinaigrette Salad Bar: New off South Congress
It’s not often that we get to visit a completely new place in our South Congress neighborhood, especially one so green and delicious as the Vinaigrette salad bar restaurant. If you are in the mood for some light, healthy, and high quality farm to table dining, we can highly recommend Vinaigrette.
Vespaio Ristorante: Fine Italian Dining on South Congress
One of the benefits of staying at a small boutique inn or B&B is that we can share our personal knowledge of the local area with our guests. In this, the first of what will be a series of posts about some of our favorite places to eat and things to do, we are very excited to share with you one of our all time favorite dining places, Vespaio Ristorante.
